Hello School Nurses!

I am a Health Promotions Specialist with the American Lung Association in Pennsylvania, primarily managing our youth tobacco prevention program, known as the Tobacco Resistance Unit (TRU). Through this program, part of what I do is offer trainings to schools, such as the Taking Down Tobacco Training, offered through the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, to help educate students about the dangers and health effects of tobacco and nicotine products. Additionally, I also offer our Not-On-Tobacco (NOT) Facilitator Training, which is a 10 session cessation clinic for teens. Given the current e-cigarette epidemic, I’d love to be able to share any resources that we have such as these trainings with school nurses across the state. I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you, Molly
