Pennsylvania Association of School Nurses and Practitioners
The Pennsylvania Association of School Nurses and Practitioners (PASNAP) is the professional home for school nurses, open to all certified school nurses and school nurse practitioners in Pennsylvania. Associate membership is also available to individuals and corporations interested in school health.
There are two PASNAP’s in Pennsylvania—The PA Association of School Nurses and Practitioners, the state association representing the interests of Pennsylvania’s Certified School Nurses (CSNs) and the PA Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals, a labor union that represents nurses and allied health professionals. Both organizations use the acronym PASNAP which frequently leads to confusion about which organization is which. This is posted for the sake of clarity to make it easier to distinguish one organization from the other. Both organizations represent professional nurses, but in different capacities.
