Kids Heart Challenge / American Heart Challenge Virtual “Kick Cabin Fever to the Curb” is a 10-day interactive program helping students remain active while learning virtually. Schools are encouraged to kick off the challenge with a virtual assembly and registered students will receive daily challenges and activities to do as a family. Students can take part in Finn’s Missions, learning the warning signs of stroke, hands-only CPR and much more! Families will take the challenge to exercise for 30 minutes each day and share their progress on their school’s Facebook site and Kids Heart Challenge social media! Participants also can choose to further their support of the AHA through personal donations and asking friends and family to donate.
The American Heart Association wants to help you and be a resource for your community.
• Below are resources you can share with your families now.
• In an effort to help you meet the “virtual learning” requirements for your school, the AHA developed a virtual 10-Day Heart Healthy Challenge (which can begin any time). This has been created to compliment your online curriculum requirements and families will have an opportunity to learn Hands Only CPR, prioritize mental health and physical activity, and more. Kids Heart Challenge targets grades K-5 and American Heart Challenge is 6-12th grade.
We’d love to collaborate with you and keep your students and their families actively moving and healthy while at home. To register for the 10 day challenge, please contact me, Ramona Englebrecht at (585) 615-6196 or Ramona.englebrecht@heart.org.
