Volunteer Opportunity

Dear PASNAP Member/Follower,
We are sharing a unique volunteer opportunity with you all during these unprecedented times. Superintendent of the Steel Valley School district has partnered with UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh to make check-in phone calls with all 963 families in their district.
This is a call with a script to go over with the family, asking how they are doing and offering resources, then closing the loop with an electronic message to the school social workers.
As volunteers need to have the Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance, Federal Criminal History Check, and the PA State Criminal Record Check in order to volunteer to make these calls, we thought school nurses would be a great place to find qualified folks to supplement the current volunteer pool.
If you're interested in volunteering, please go to this google drive, where you will find a webinar volunteer training: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1TwLU7PxQXFIKEB_kKVpR2TNVnVtu_oVp
After you watch the volunteer training, please complete this google form (make sure to click all the way through and hit submit): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2K4rW0Q3jz2BgL7B0oguTH4Wb68oqRlzFBvOoZtoIW5l6-Q/viewform
After we receive your response to that form, you will receive a link to set up your CallHub account so you can start calling families.
Please feel free to share this information with anyone who is interested in volunteering and have them reach out to the coordinator of this effort with any questions:
