UPMC Provides Resources for School Nurses
Posted over 5 years ago by Lori Kelley
Dear Pennsylvania Association of School Nurses and Practitioners,
UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Division of Community Health aims to improve child and family health through community and hospital based initiatives. Through our Healthy Schools Program, we have been working with school nurses in several Allegheny County School Districts to share resources and tools to create healthier school environments.
With input from school nurses, we have put together a resource database to provide nurses with tools and information to help you in your role including educational materials to share with students and families, professional development opportunities, and UPMC specific information like release of information and our subspecialty guide. Children’s Community Health staff will be continuously updating this database to better suit your needs.
We appreciate the important role that you all play in managing the health of Allegheny County’s children.
Important Disclaimer: This database was compiled from publicly available sources and was created for informational purposes only. It should not be considered medical advice. It is the sole responsibility of school nurses to stay information about any changes in recommendations or regulations to health guidelines and best practices.
Best,
Kristi
