Highmark Foundation is pleased to present the 2021-2022 School Grants and Awards Program. There are a variety of different opportunities available that may be of interest to school nurses in Northeastern Pennsylvania, including funding for equipment like vision screeners, supplies like eyeglasses, clothing, etc, and funds for health related programs. They also offer Excellence in School Nursing Awards that come with small grants.
The goal of the program is to create healthier school environments that experience positive, sustainable and lasting change through comprehensive strategies. The School Grants and Awards Program has a new look and feel with some changes that are intended to make it easier for school to apply for the grants and implement the programs.
Schools may apply for a school grant in one of four areas: Environmental Health, Healthy Eating & Physical Activity, Positive School Climate (formerly Bullying Prevention), or School-Based Health. ALL public, private, vocational high school, parochial and charter schools throughout West Virginia and Pennsylvania (excluding Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties) are invited to apply.
Now entering its ninth year, the Highmark Foundation's School Grant and Awards Program has provided more than $2.96 million in support to schools in Pennsylvania and West Virginia served by Highmark Inc.
The Highmark Foundation Grant and Awards Program applications are available at: https://highmarkfoundationrfp.versaic.com. All applications must be submitted online.
I’m happy to answer any questions.
