Message from the Independent Regulatory Review Commission Re: Licensure and Child Abuse Reporting

The State Board of Nursing (Board) recently introduced a proposed rulemaking that might be of interest to your organization or clients you represent. 

The proposal noted above was delivered to the Independent Regulatory Review Commission (IRRC) for review on January 15, 2021.  A copy of the proposal, as it was delivered, can be found on IRRC’s website – http://www.irrc.state.pa.us/regulations/RegSrchRslts.cfm?ID=3299.  This copy of the proposal includes the required Regulatory Analysis Form and copies of any forms referenced in the rulemaking.  If IRRC has any comments on the proposal, those comments must delivered to the Board by March 31, 2021; comments will be posted at the previous link.

The proposal has a 30-day comment period that closes on March 1, 2021.  The proposal includes instructions for submitting comments to the Board. Please note that any comments submitted to the Board will be shared with IRRC and the legislative committees.  In addition, the comments will be posted to IRRC’s website.
