The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is conducting a research study “A Multi-Perspective Look at Middle and High School Student-athletes’ Access
to Orthopaedic Care and Athletic Training.” They want to hear about your experience caring for student-athletes at your school in the Pittsburgh area.
Participation in this project will not affect your relationship with The University of
Pittsburgh or UPMC. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary.
If you participate in the study, you will be asked to participate in one 30–45-minute
interview with someone from the project. You will be asked about the sports your
students participate in and what happens if they get hurt. The interviews will be over
Zoom, and audio from the interview will be recorded. The interviews will last about 30-45 minutes. To express our gratitude for completing the interview, you will receive a $50 gift card. If you participate, we will set up the interview one evening during the week or on the weekend based on your schedule and availability. Please get in touch with me, the study coordinator, at (412) 692-7692 if you have any questions. Thank you for helping me with this research project.
