Text Message Options to Gov. Shapiro:

  • Gov. Shapiro, please oppose tuition voucher schemes. Fixing Pennsylvania’s unconstitutional school funding system needs to be your top priority. To make sure that all of our students have the state funding they need to learn, our public schools need more state money, not less. This is no time to take public money that should support Pennsylvania’s public school students and give it to private and religious schools.

  • Gov. Shapiro, tuition voucher schemes have never helped students learn and they won’t work here in Pennsylvania. We need to increase funding for public schools, not take public money that should support Pennsylvania’s public school students and give it to private and religious schools. We need your help to do this. Our public school students are counting on you to deliver on your promises and support them.

  • Gov. Shapiro, Pennsylvania’s Commonwealth Court has said that our school funding system is so broken that it is unconstitutional. To fix it, our public schools need significant funding increases. This isn’t a choice. It’s a mandate. The last thing we need is a tuition voucher program that redirects public money from public schools and gives it to private and religious schools. Our students need your help. Please oppose tuition voucher plans.

  • Gov. Shapiro, we know that wealthy special interests are spending millions of dollars to persuade elected officials to support tuition voucher schemes. Please help our public school students, stand up to these wealthy special interests, and oppose tuition voucher plans. Our public school students need more state funding, not less. They are counting on you to make funding public schools your top priority.

  • Gov. Shapiro, you campaigned on a promise to increase funding for Pennsylvania’s public schools. Now that a court has decided that our school funding system is so inadequate that it violates the constitution, it’s time for you to deliver on that promise. Our 1.7 million public school students can’t afford to have state money that should be invested in their education taken from them to pay for tuition voucher schemes for private and religious schools. Please oppose tuition vouchers and support our public schools and the students who learn there.
