My wife (Jodi Brady Olympia - Division of Adolescent Medicine at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital) and I have been chosen to become Editors for an upcoming medical textbook based on school-based health.
We are in search of potential author contributors with an interest in school-based health and a passion for writing and scholarship. Chapter topics include general school-based health, normal growth and development of students, initial assessment and management of the ill or injured student, students with chronic medical conditions, students with mental and behavioral disorders, infectious diseases, sports medicine, and adolescent medicine (see attached Table of Contents, available chapters are highlighted in YELLOW)

- Audience: Pediatricians, Family and Community Medicine physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners working in an office or school setting, school nurses, medical and nursing students
- Chapter first draft due: June 1st, 2024 (gives you approximately 6 months)
- Final book manuscript due date: December 1st, 2024
- Incentives for the authors: each contributor will receive one free hard copy, eBook access, and 40% discount on purchases of all Springer books
We would like to limit authors to a maximum of TWO per chapter, so feel free to collaborate with your colleagues.
