The National Youth Science Camp, hosted in Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia since 1963, is a residential science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) program designed to honor and challenge some of the nation’s rising leaders and provide them with opportunities to engage with STEAM professionals and participate in exciting outdoor activities. Typically, two delegates are selected to attend camp from each state and the District of Columbia. In partnership with the U.S. State Department, we also host international delegates. Past countries represented include Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Japan, Mexico, and Trinidad and Tobago. Housing, meals, transportation, and supplies are provided to participants at no cost.
The 2024 NYSCamp is still in need of a Camp Nurse for June 29 - July 20. Appropriate credentials are required.
This role will pay $150/day and cover up to $500 for travel reimbursement. In addition to this compensation, there are significant fringe benefits: meals, lodging, laundry service, and the personal rewards of the NYSCamp community. Partial availability will be considered - please note availability limits in the online application.
