Survey to Gather valuable insights from school nurses and school counselors on students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and disciplinary practices within our educational community

Dear Potential Participant:

Greetings. My name is Michelle Lockett Green, and I am a Clinical Assistant Professor at the M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing at Villanova University. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our understanding of students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and disciplinary practices within our educational community, we are conducting a survey to gather valuable insights from school nurses and school counselors like you.

Your perspectives and experiences are incredibly valuable in shaping our approach to supporting all students, including those with IDD, in navigating disciplinary matters effectively and equitably.

The survey will cover topics such as:

Perceptions of disciplinary practices concerning students with IDD
Awareness of the unique needs and challenges of these students in disciplinary situations
Suggestions for improving disciplinary approaches to better serve students with IDD

Your participation in this survey will contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the intersection between IDD and disciplinary practices, ultimately leading to more informed decision-making and improved support for our students.

The survey is anonymous, and your responses will only be used to help gather a greater understanding of staff experiences in Pennsylvania. The survey will take a total of 10-15 mins.
