Concussion Prevention and Management Continuing Education

 "Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society (PATS) is excited to work with SSI and DOH regarding education surrounding concussions.  Over the past three years; the three groups have collaborated to provide concussion education specifically for medical professionals and the community.   Education courses have been designed for physicians and physician assistants as well as instructor courses for athletic trainers. The athletic trainers that have become ConcussionWise instructors have been providing education courses to the community across PA; scholastic setting, collegiate setting, and within youth sports organizations.  We are excited to extend an arm of the medical professional's education course to the school nurses across the Commonwealth.

The course is an online presentation and will provide 2 hours of continuing education.  Note; the course is not approved for Act 48 credits but you will be provided proof of completion that can be utilized for reporting your 30 continuing education credits that are due every 2 years. If you are interested in this free course you will need to register on the SSI website; link below.  After that step is complete you will receive an email from Roxanna Larsen, PATS Secretary with your free course code and more instructions.
